Backyard Sauna Space Taking Shape in Beaverton

This one is coming together in a big way. A Beaverton homeowner wanted more than just a backyard - they wanted a full retreat. A place to decompress, sweat it out, and actually use their outdoor space. So that's exactly what we set out to build.

The flagstone patio is down and it grounds the whole space. Large, natural stone pieces laid out to create a clean, solid surface right outside the sauna entry. It's the kind of foundation that makes everything else feel intentional. We also ran flagstone into the walkway to tie the path and patio together seamlessly.

Custom plantings are going in around the structure to soften the edges and give the space a layered, natural feel. A young tree is already established near the back, and the fresh planting beds are starting to fill in. Once everything matures, this space is going to feel tucked away from the rest of the world. That's the goal with landscape design like this - it has to feel like it belongs there.

All the electrical is in place too. Landscape lighting is wired and ready, which means this space won't just look great in the afternoon sun - it'll hold its own after dark. The combination of flagstone hardscaping, thoughtful plantings, and integrated lighting is what separates a backyard upgrade from a true outdoor living space.

We're not done yet, but you can already see where this is headed. A well-designed outdoor space adds real value to a home - and more importantly, it changes how you actually live in it.
